TRAKL REMIXED
Trakl Remixed
Hubsi Kramar reads selected poems by Georg Trakl. Literary interventions with live visuals from 4youreye. Premiere Thursday, 02.02.2012, 8 pm, Literaturhaus Salzburg.
What else has Georg Trakl (1887-1914) to tell us today? How does he affect young authors? And how can one interpret and appreciate the great poet in the present in an exciting way?
For the third time, the Literaturhaus Salzburg hosted an event by and with the intermedial artist collective ART VISUALS & POETRY - a group of about 20 people, consisting of authors, theater artists, musicians, visual artists and programmers.
The aim is to make Georg Trakl experience this time and to create a dialogue between old and contemporary, between language and moving images. It's about new narrative structures, the making and visualization, a literary happening! The three authors Sophie Anna Reyer, Sigrun Höllrigl and Sheida Samyi have literarily dealt with the poet and written especially for this evening texts: Comments, appreciations, deconstructions. This gives rise to personal views of Georg Trakl, whose poems are interpreted by the well-known Viennese actor and director Hubsi Kramar. The "interventions" - ie Trakl remixed - are accompanied by the visual artist duo 4youreye and performed live. The recording of the event will be re-arranged and reworked in poetic short films - to be seen on Vimeo.
